Nicholas Bunn Boddie Sr. and Lucy Mayo Boddie Foundation Scholarship Program
To benefit the schoolchildren of Bertie, Edgecombe, Halifax, Hertford, Martin, Nash, Northampton and Warren counties

The Scholarship
The Nicholas Bunn Boddie, Sr. and Lucy Mayo Boddie Foundation is generously providing funding to public and charter schools in Bertie, Edgecombe, Halifax, Hertford, Martin, Nash, Northampton and Warren counties for students to attend programs at Morehead Planetarium and Science Center, or to receive a visit from one of Morehead's external programs (DESTINY, DREAMS or PLANETS).

For a field trip visit to Morehead, the scholarship will cover each student’s ticket and a transportation subsidy of $150 per bus to each school.

For visits from external programs, the scholarship will cover the standard $250 fee for a DESTINY or a DREAMS visit to a school, and the standard fees associated with a PLANETS visit.

Appreciation
This scholarship program would not be possible without the generous support of the Nicholas Bunn Boddie Sr. and Lucy Mayo Boddie Foundation. Private gifts such as this make it possible for Morehead Planetarium and Science Center to bring science education to North Carolina children who might not otherwise have this opportunity. To ensure the continuation of this wonderful program, please encourage your students to write thank you letters to the address below:
