Education: Sophomore
Hometown: Fayetteville, North Carolina Experience with Children: Salsa Instructor for kids-adults (four years) and Mentor at Morris Grove Elementary (one year).
Goals for School Year and Career: My goals mainly include Making straight A’s my sophomore year, becoming more financially independent, making many new friends, and getting sponsored in Longboarding! Also, I want to take the UNC Latin Dance team (“Que Rico!”) to new heights this year as the director!
Hobbies/Fun Fact: I’ve been dancing Salsa, Merengue, and Bachata ever since I could remember. I’ve been an instructor now for 6 years, and I don’t plan on stopping any time soon. Over the past year, I have picked up Longboarding as my new favorite hobby. I am absolutely infatuated with Longboarding—It’s so fun and exciting to push yourself to new limits!
Why did you choose to work at Morehead? Anywhere that a smile and positive attitude was a gold standard for me, and besides, who doesn’t love working with kids? Sciences have always fascinated me, and I had never been inside of a Planetarium before I got the job here!
