Education: Senior, Music Education Major, Biology Minor

Hometown: Cary, NC

Experience With Children: This is my third year working at Morehead. I also give private oboe lessons to middle and high school students.

Goals for School Year and Career:This year my goal is to finish all of my classes so I can student teach next year. I really want to continue working with kids for my career as a teacher. After working at Morehead I’m very interested in finding teaching outlets that don’t occur in a strict classroom setting.

Hobbies/ Fun Fact: I really love reading so I am often caught up in a book. I also play in the orchestra and am involved in many performance around campus.

Why did you want to work at Morehead?: Morehead ran an ad in the Daily Tar Heel looking for summer camp counselors so I decided to apply. As someone who is interested in science and loves kids I couldn’t have imagined a better job. This has been such a great experience and I love working here.
