We welcome Pre-K children to Morehead. We recommend the following show as most appropriate for them.

All of Morehead Planetarium and Science Center’s planetarium shows are now presented in stunning high-definition fulldome digital video in the GlaxoSmithKline Fulldome Theater. If you see only one fulldome planetarium show during your visit, we recommend seeing the “best choice” show.

One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure

Famed Sesame Street characters Big Bird and Elmo are joined from far away China by fuzzy blue Hu Hu Zhu for a fun sky adventure. Together they learn about sunsets and finding starry shapes in the night sky. Then Elmo and Hu Hu Zhu journey to the Moon, where they discover that they can jump high, kick a soccer ball really, really far, and need space helmets to breathe. Back on Earth, they realize that from both the United States and China they can see the same stars in the nighttime sky. Produced by the Sesame Workshop, Adler Planetarium, Beijing Planetarium and Liberty Science Center.
