Directions to Ebenezer Church Recreation Area at Jordan Lake

From Chapel Hill / Carrboro / Hillsborough:
From either Columbia Street in Chapel Hill or the 15-501/54 bypass, take 15-501 south. At Mt. Carmel Church Road, which is less than 1/8 mi. south of the 15-501/54 bypass, turn left. (A right at that point would put you on Culbreth School Road) Follow that road (which merges with Farrington Road and becomes SR1008) to US 64. Do not turn onto US 64, just carefully cross the road at the light and continue on SR1008 for another 2.2 miles. Ebenezer Church Recreation area entrance will be on the right. Turn in and follow that road all the way back to the beach area. There is a large parking area to the left and observing usually takes place near the far end of the parking lot.

From Durham:
Take either 751 or 55 South to US 64. Turn right (west) onto US 64. From 55 travel about 6.7 miles west to the light at SR1008. From 751 travel about 2.8 miles west to the light at SR1008. (If you cross Jordan Lake, you've gone too far.) At that light turn left (south) onto SR1008. Ebenezer Church Recreation Area entrance will be about 2.2 miles from US 64 intersection, on the right. Turn in and follow that road all the way back to the beach area. There is a large parking area to the left and observing usually takes place near the far end of the parking lot.

From Raleigh:
Take US 64 West. About 6.7 miles past the route 55 intersection, you should come to the light at SR1008. (If you cross Jordan Lake, you've gone too far.) At that light turn left (south) onto SR1008. Travel 2.2 miles south on SR1008. Ebenezer Church Recreation Area entrance will be on the right. Turn in and follow that road all the way back to the beach area. There is a large parking area to the left and observing usually takes place near the far end of the parking lot.

From Pittsboro:
Take US64 East. Once you've crossed the main body of Jordan Lake, the light at SR1008 is just about a mile beyond. At that light turn right (south) onto SR1008. Travel 2.2 miles south on SR1008. Ebenezer Church Recreation Area entrance will be on the right. Turn in and follow that road all the way back to the beach area. There is a large parking area to the left and observing usually takes place near the far end of the parking lot.
