Shannon Burleson

Hometown: Morganton, NC

Experience with Children: I have worked at Camp Kesem for three years, I tutor in the school system, I babysit, and I have worked with VBS at church.

Goals for Summer and Career: My goals for the summer are to get a lot of experience teaching science and to learn how to make the sibjects fun, interesting, and engaging. I am hoping to be a high school science teacher with a biology concentration and cross-curriculum certification. I hope to be the best teacher I can be, maybe being an inspiration to some students and making a positive impact on all of them.

Hobbies/Fun Fact: I enjoy running, reading, movies, traveling, and I have a freckle on my left eye.

Why did you choose to work at Morehead? I love working with kids, I love science, and I want to be a teacher. Working at Morehead could not be a better opportunity to combing each of these passions.
