Hometown: Winston-Salem, NC

Experience with Children: I was a youth soccer coach and an Eagle's Nest camp counselor for two summers.

Goals for Summer and Career: My goals for this summer are to get kids excited to learn for the rest of their lives, and to complete summer school classes. After I graduate next year I plan to go to nursing school for a second degree, and then to pursue a Masters in Public Health.

Hobbies/Fun Fact: I enjoy playing ultimate frisbee, soccer and basketball. I also enjoy learning to play the guitar and running ESL classes in Carrboro. I've had a giant tortoise steal an orange from me.

Why did you choose to work at Morehead? Working with young people is rewarding to me. Most of the funniest stories I have are about kids I have worked with. I hope to learn as much this summer as my campers do.
