Lauren Sinkez

Hometown: Cary, NC

Experience with Children: I’ve worked at the Planetarium for two years now and I also teach private oboe lessons to middle and high schoolers. I’ve also been babysitting since I was 12.

Goals for Summer and Career: This summer I just want to have fun at summer camp teaching kids about science! I’m working on getting my teacher’s license right now and I hope to become a principal eventually.

Hobbies/Fun Fact: I love doing puzzles and reading in my spare time at home. During the winter I enjoy skiing and during the summer I love going to the beach!

Why did you choose to work at Morehead? When I was looking for a summer job two years ago I saw an ad for the Planetarium in UNC’s paper. I thought that nothing could be better than spending the summer doing awesome science activities with kids and it ended up being so much fun. I absolutely love my job and I’m so happy to be part of the Morehead team!
