Amy Carruthers

Hometown: Durham, NC

Experience with Children: I have worked with children my entire life. My mom owns a home daycare and I grew up surrounded by toddlers. I babysat throughout middle and high school and I began working at the Morehead Afterschool Program during my first year of college.

Goals for Summer and Career: My career goal is to become a teacher.

Hobbies/Fun Fact: I enjoy experimenting with different art mediums. I like to draw, paint, and create collages. I also do film and digital photography.

Why did you choose to work at Morehead? I chose to work at Morehead because I love science and want to share that passion with others.
