Amelia Lorenzo

Hometown: Cary, NC

Experience with Children: I've been doing various volunteer work with children since I was in middle school. I've worked at multiple vacation bible schools, helped out at my churhc's kid city, and volunteered at Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh.

Goals for Summer and Career: This summer I am so excited to share my love of science with my campers. I can't wait to teach them and show them why science is amazing and how much fun it can be. I hope to have a lot of fun and end my summer knowing that this experience was as memorable for my campers as it was for me.

Hobbies/Fun Fact: In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my friends, baking, reading, and just relaxing. I'm also a member of a committee for UNC's Dance Marathon and I copy edit for Carolina Scientific. My current favorite food is pickles.

Why did you choose to work at Morehead? I chose to work at Morehead because I am so passionate about science and I want to share my love for it with all the campers. I wish I'd had the chance to go to a camp like this when I was younger. Knowing that I get to share all these cool science lessons with children is going to be very rewarding.
