Teen Science Cafe on Sept. 12

posted Wednesday August 13, 2014

Morehead Planetarium and Science Center hosts its monthly Teen Science Cafe on Friday, Sept. 12, beginning with pizza at 5:30 p.m. The program features Dr. Mike Willis and starts at 6 p.m.

Dr. Willis will lead us through a mystery of science that has captivated his team of researchers on the Greenland Ice Sheet in the Russian Arctic. Those researchers are finding water that is cascading into the ice in a way that we've never seen -- glaciers are accelerating and sliding away! Dr. Willis has a theory about this mystery, and he'll share it at Teen Science Cafe.

Teen Science Cafe is for ages 13 to 18, and it's free. Click here for more info.
