Special Current Science Forum
The Fukushima crisis and the renewed debate on nuclear power
Nearly a quarter-century after the Chernobyl disaster, the world is watching another nuclear accident unfold in Japan. Is nuclear power worth it? What can we learn from these events?
Join Morehead Planetarium and Science Center for a special current science forum on Thursday, March 24, at 6 p.m. Our speaker is Dr. David McNelis, adjunct professor of nuclear engineering at North Carolina State University and director of the UNC Center for Sustainable Energy, Environment and Economic Development.
Please note the special location: Morehead Banquet Hall (east entrance, second floor). This program is free, and light refreshments will be provided.
